Stop for five minutes.
Just sit or lie down and take about five very deep breaths.
Then, when your mind is quiet enough to hear yourself think, answer a couple of questions:
Ask:
- Am I managing everything so it runs well or am I tolerating something and just limping along in some aspect of my work?
- What is making me sharper?
- What is making me duller?
Listen to your answers. Be honest about what you hear.
Then:
- Make a resolution to change at least one thing.
- Aim at having greater ease in your work.
- Commit to an accountability partner by defining exactly what you are going to do and when you’ll have it completed.
